Trinity-Bellwoods is home to a large park, stretching from Queen Street West north to Dundas Street West. Its amenities include tennis courts, playgrounds, a dog walking area, a greenhouse and a community centre with swimming pool. The site of festivals and markets all summer long, it is also a great destination for picnics.
Fort York, a national historic site and heritage conservation district, is open year round and hosts many art and music festivals. Fort York Public Library opened in 2014, with an array of public programs for all ages in the bright, airy space.
Liberty Village is a trendy neighborhood for young professionals and artists. The old factories of the area have been re purposed as lofts, restaurants, gyms, furniture stores and galleries. The CNE and Exhibition GO Train Station are at the south end of Liberty Village, and a new bridge has been completed along Strachan Avenue, making access easier for pedestrians and bicyclists.
West Queen West/Art and Design District and the Fashion District run along Queen Street West, and are home to many galleries, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, clothing stores and fabric shops. The Koffler Centre of the Arts, Artscape Youngplace and the Museum of Contemporary Art are just a few of the gallery spaces in the neighbourhood.
King West boasts ever-popular restaurants, clubs, retail and galleries. Many older buildings have been converted into office, residential, shopping or restaurant spaces. King West is also home to many major Toronto attractions, such as Roy Thompson Hall, the Royal Alexandra Theatre and the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
Billy Bishop Airport is just a 5 minute taxi ride away, at the foot of Bathurst Street.
